Summertime and the 90s are Leaving

It's been a hot summer. News is that tomorrow is the last day of 90-degree sunshine.

My honey and I did some grillin' this summer.  We grilled a pork butt that was incredible slathered with my special BBQ sauce. Rib eyes, and of course... da te da da... Hamburgs on the grill.

It was no biggie. Same old go-withs.  But I did make some awesome tasting patties. Here's my recipe.

To 1 lb. of ground hamburger meat, I added finely chopped red pepper, green pepper and onions. 1/4 cup Panko (it should have been more), 1 egg, 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper, salt, black pepper, garlic powder. The chopped mix needs to almost be a mince consistency. Mix, mix, mix and make into 6 patties. I used egg rounds to make my patties so they turned out nice, perfect roundess for a hamburger bun.

Grilling is a honey do, so I have plenty of time to do my thing. This summer, I was overjoyed to spend a whole week with Harrison. We had a blast. I even learned Xbox -- sort of. He beat me at cards... again... or still. I met Jeter, not Derek.

William visited. Tim stopped by... lots. Steven set me up with a new cell... with daughter Kim's help. Thanks so much.

Steven is already on top of Christmas. He is his mother's son. And he knows it is my favorite day of the year.

Did anyone watch the conventions? My honey sure makes a lot of noise about politics.

Bailey wasn't too concerned.

I think I have arthritis in my hand now. The joints ache when I try to bend my fingers. I hate getting old. Speaking of age, somebody's having a benchmark b-day next month. Hmmm, wonder who that could be.

No worries, it's nothing compared to say the 70s which I don't look forward to. Anywhoo...
