Time to Flip the Mattress

Mom never stops
being your mother
Yup! It's a good time to flip the mattress "Four Times a Year." My honey already flipped ours. You want to change the position and surface you sleep on at least once a year, but two or three times is better. Four times is best.

It's obvious that clean is better than dirty. A clean, well maintained mattress is good for your health and for your sleeping comfort.
When you have bare mattress, vacuum all surfaces and use a mild warm solution of soapy water to tap and clean spots. Be sure the mattress is completely dry before you flip, rotate, cover your mattress and put on clean sheets.

When Do You Flip and Rotate Your Mattress?
The first of April, August and December take off the sheets and padded cover and launder. Do your mattress maintenance.

How to Clean Your Mattress?
When you have a bare mattress, vacuum all surfaces, the top, bottom and sides. Then, use a mild warm solution of soapy water to cautiously tap and clean spots with a damp cloth.

Try to not get the mattress too wet. Wait for your mattress to dry thoroughly, then clean the other side and wait for it to dry.

How Do You Turn Your Mattress Over?
Now, you're ready to flip, rotate, cover your mattress. First, flip the mattress over, and then rotate it so the head is at the foot and visa versa.

Don't forget to vacuum and clean the box springs under your mattress before you put on clean sheets. Put pillows in the fluff cycle of the dryer to shake off airborne dust and bacteria.

Don't forget to launder blankets, bed skirts and take comforters to the cleaners for professional laundering. Create a memo on your calendar and set an alarm if you use a digital calendar. Do it now while it's on your mind.
