Intertwined
with all our core values, LIFE is essential. It’s so obvious that some
take life for granted. It goes without saying that Americans value life.
The Bible states, “So God created human beings, making them to be like himself. He created them male and female…” — Catholic Bible
God blessed them, saying: Increase and multiply, and fill the earth… God is the source of all life and all love.
In fact, the Bible says He is these things: God is love (1 John 4:16), and God is life (John 1:3-4). In other words, God is the source of life.
God tells us, life is precious and must be protected and cherished. God gave us life and also guides, such as the Bible and the Ten Commandments. In these guides, God tells us to avoid sin, honor your mom and dad, and in the alternative mom and dad must honor their children; and not kill their child before, during or atter birth. This, to save their soul and life everlasting.
No one wants their life ended without a very good reason that’s legal and justified beyond a shadow of doubt.
Our Declaration of Independence unanimouly adopted by the 13 States, previously 13 Colonies, on July 4, 1776 states, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”
Life is so essential that our U.S. Constitution guarantees life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
5th amendment: “be twice put in jeopardy of life or limb; …nor be deprived of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law,,,”
8th amendment: “nor cruel and unusual punishments inflicted.”
14th amendment: “nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.”
Every State in the Union and the Federal governments have laws that prohibit ending life, and punishing those who end life.
American lives, the right to life and to live life is a core value that must be protected at all cost. ///
