USA Core Values: 5 of 12, Family and Home

Family snd Home are one bundled core value that Americans treasure.

Family brings purpose, stability, safety, decency and a sense of belonging to children.

Parents set boundaries. Teach children the basics of life, our values and behaviors, such as good manners, brush your teeth and make your bed.

Mom and dad supervise their schooling and education. Are attentive, supportive and a good example.  Parents nurture and guide little ones to love, honor and respect their country, their family and home.

According to Lumen Learning, families are the most basic social unit upon which society is built. In the United States of America, our culture is historically linked to family with marriages creating new families.

Family consists of people, usually joined by blood, marriage or adoption who establish a lifetime connection to one another.

A typical family consists of a wife, husband, mom, dad, brother, sister, grandparents, uncles, aunts, cousins and other relatives.

The family creates more than people related to each other. Family creates descendants who repeat values, reinforce the American culture and increase the population.

Families have a vested interest in their communities, religion, economy,  government, as well as, their home, because home is the permanent place where a family comes together and belongs, whether the children continue to live "at home" or grow up, marry and begin new families of their own.

According to Our Father’s House Soup Kitchen, a home is more than a house. Home is a refuge, a place of acceptance, decency, stability and security. A “location” where children of any age feel connected and safe. Without this “connection.” children often stray onto a destructive path.

  1. Home offers a future and a chance to dream.
  2. It increases chances of getting a decent job.
  3. It makes it easier to integrate into society.
  4. It reduces mental stress.
  5. A home offers protection.

Americans value home. Their own home. Going home. Being home. Welcoming family and friends into their home.

The American Family and Home is a snapshot of America. America is a legacy to be treasured, protected and honored.

Faith, family and the American home are core values that produce our exceptional “All for one, and one for all” American way of life, but that’s not all. ///
