Texas Rangers 2023 World Series Champions

November 1, 2023. Texas Rangers take the Arizona Diamondbacks out of the old ball game with a 4-1 series victory.

The game five 5-0 win handed the Rangers their first World Series Championship in franchise history, ending a 63-year dry spell.

It was no piece of cake. Game five started as a pitcher's duel. Arizona did not allow a hit for six innings. The Rangers ended the no-hitter in the seventh inning when Corey Seager singled, then scored on a hit by Mitch Garver.

In the ninth, Texas scored two more runs before Marcus Semien hit a two-run homer. The Rangers won the game 5–0, dominatng the seven-game series that ended in five games “at the old ball game.“

Corey Seager won the World Series MVP award, making him the first player to win the award in both leagues.

Bruce Bochy won his fourth series and became the third manager to win a World Series in both leagues.

Pitcher Will Smith is now the first player in all of baseball history to win three consecutive World Series Championships with three different team.

Of course, the Rangers celebrated their historic win with a Victory Parade followed by a “Come On In” Open House for fans to view the trophy.

Naturally, it goes without saying son Tim and grandson William joined the celebration.

Grab some peanuts and crackerjacks. It’s root root root for the home team… Happy days are here in the Great State of Texas.

Arlington police estimated 500,000 to 700,000 excited fans showed up to congratulate the players, see the trophy and be part of history.

No matter where we are, our heart belongs to Texas. We are a Texas family and are beyond thrilled.
