8 of 12. What Can You Do Right Now?

Do your own math. Do something. At least, start a home business. Grow it so you have the possibility of income should you need it.

What can you do to get ready for retirement whether planned for or forced upon you?

Make the hard choices right now, today. Reduce your living expenses. Live on less. Save half of what you earn. If you think you can't do it, think again.  If you can't do it now, what are you going to do when you have no choice.

Where will you live, how will you buy food, pay for gas... when you run out of money? Where will the money you need come from?

Don't think that life will always be what it is now. Life changes, and it changes in an instant.

The ONLY way to have the money you need later is to live more frugally right now.

Bank HALF of every penny you earn. HALF. That will give you that HALF to live on in the last 20 or 30 years of your life.

If you can't bank half today, right now because you can't afford it -- what are you going to do when you have no income?

Every single person who starts their working life should and must immediately start thinking about what they are going to need when their "working life" ends -- and it will end -- like it or not. That's a fact!

You want to be self employed, part time or full time.

Who really wants to move in with relatives? Can your children even afford to support you and your basic expenses.

Who wants to invade the privacy of loved ones, give up their own privacy, become a financial burden.

This is so troubling. I worry about what my children are going to do when they are ready for retirement.

NOW is the time for you young people to learn and believe that you must live on HALF what you earn and save the rest. Take steps now to reduce what you pay now so you can save more for your future.

What money will you have after you turn 65 or 67?
