National Flag of the USA

National symbols represent the ideals and values that America is known for, including strength, freedom, liberty, power and patriotism.

he American flag, known as the Stars and Stripes, is made up of several elements, each with its own symbolism. The design is comprised of thirteen red and white horizontal stripes, with a blue rectangle in the upper left corner. The stripes stand for the thirteen British colonies which became the first U.S states after declaring independence from Great Britain.

A monument has been described as a building, structure, or site that is of historical importance or interest: it's also an outstanding, enduring, and memorable example of something, per Dictionary.com

Our beloved American Flag may be victim of those who tried to diminish its importance. The AMERICAN FLAG is so much more than an "expression" of free speech which can be debated. There can be no difference of opinion about this sovereign monument to the grit of every American citizen.

Our FLAG is a monument to the enduring MEMORY of what makes us UNITED. It's a magnificent monument to the fight and bloodshed by our First Citizens who earned FREEDOM for "ourselves and our posterity" for infinity in 1776.

The Betsy Rose flag that our First Citizens carried to victory over the British was our first flag.

The flag has been updated with the ratification of each new State in the Union. As of 2024, there are 50 States.

Fifty white, five-pointed stars can be seen inside the blue rectangle, all arranged horizontally in rows of six alternating with rows of five. These stars represent the 50 states of the country.

The earlier designs of the U.S flag had varying numbers of stars, but then a 50-star flag, ordered by President Eisenhower in 1959, was created to mark the addition of Alaska to the union.

Eisenhower selected it from a variety of 27 flag designs, and since then it’s been the longest-used version, flown for over 60 years. ///
