I got to thinking that puppies require a great deal of interaction and time for socialization and training. They need to be fed three times a day until they are about six months of age.
Young puppies need frequent potty breaks throughout the day and sometimes in the middle of the night.
Our family has had several pups over the years. Puppies inevitably become dogs, although my thinking is more along the lines of puppy dogs. As a dog grows older, he'll stills need a lot of love and attention like he did when but a wee pup. [that's my Irish coming out and I'm not Irish]. Ho Hum on me.
It's been my experience that most dogs regular mucho walks and exercise. This can be a challenge for some dog owners.
If you've decided that despite the commitment, you still want a dog, you'll find the rewards of a loving, loyal companion well worth it.

Start with the proper puppy supplies. It will make training a whole lot easier. A crate, crate pad, collar, leash, dog dishes, toy, shampoo, brush and treats.
With a little patience, you can put an end to a puppy’s bad habits that you hear stories about... by redirecting his natural instincts to something more appropriate. The first thing to remember is to establish boundaries for your puppy.
By boundaries, I mean "what's allowed" and "what's not. We've raised more than a dozen puppy dogs and I can say for sure... that when you put in the time in the first few months, you don't have to put in the time in later months to get rid of bad puppy habits. Like most things, do it right from day one. Dogs want to please. All you have to do is communicate what you want... in a way that puppy understands.
That's it, blog, for this all about puppy day. Have a happy happy!
