Garage Go Boom Chagalaga Boom

Illustration of a garage door.
It wasn't an earthquake. Not a tornado. Hurricane? No. Did an airplane fall out of the sky and land in our backyard? Close, but no. It was a humongous boom for sure. Ka-Pow! Thunder. Burst of air vibrating, deep voiced heavy rock meets concrete ground.

Crash went our garage door letting loose from up to broken spring and down it crashes.

Alarming. Absolutely. Sit up in our chair. Spin around. Jump feet to floor. Walk around aimlessly… for seconds. Check the front, see outside windows. Open laundry room door to garage. There it is.
What was just open, now closed down. It was a surprise, but we should have known that after twelve years, the thing would eventually wear worn. It cried for a shiny new spring with more current gigots and gadgets from ball bearings to greasy gooey.

Hi, blog, I guess every home owner experiences things wearing out and needing replacing. For us, we are living the replacement year of years. Our garage door opener is yet only the next thingy to go broke for want of fix. But this little mishap has a list from the cracks from the house settling, to holes in walls, paint for ceilings, new crown for the family room, the garbage disposal, sink, kitchen faucets, bathroom faucets, dishwasher and the oven [not convenient at all].

[Yes] The garage door go boom and it is just another fix to fix. Update. Make good. Be better.

Life does present a multitude of surprises. Some good. Some not so good. Some that can be easily fixed. Today had surprises. The good kind. Fix it and move on.

It's a happy day, blog. Even with a boom chagalaga boom. It's a good day.
