Food is a necessity of life. Yea, okay, but how can I create meals that go beyond boring and ordinary. Well, that would be good. That's why I bought 3 new cookbooks. I discarded 3 old ones.
Right now, I am just trying to learn the basics and cook new food dishes that keep my honey and I eating well... and don't taste awful at the same time.
I got a few of the kitchen items I ordered, and I am waiting for the remaining items to arrive at my door.
It's fine, because my honey works these odd hours this week and part of next week. So on these days, we do not plan organized meals. No typical dinners. We call it "fend" days. You know. Each of us fends for ourself when it comes to eating breakfast, lunch and dinner.
It's not a bad plan, and it saves a ton on our food bill. That makes the evenings drag. With no cooking, baking and grilling, hey… there's nothing much to absorb time. So this week, I am back to working on my quilt. Cooking. Sewing. All I need is gardening and I'll be a full-fledged susie homemaker. Not that I wasn't. But with my home business, doing susie stuff did take a back burner.
Well, that's all there is for today, except maybe for life with Bailey. He's just getting over a skin condition after an exciting trip to the Vet, 2 bottles of capsules that may last through Christmas, and a Vet bill that almost made me faint.
The good news is my son, Steven, along with wife Tara, came over yesterday morning with a brand new garage door opener and in this hot Texas weather, he installed it. WOW! I am so fortunate.
I didn't mean to clump you with the dog news, son. Sorry [smile].
That's it for today.
